Jo Won Noodle House is a straightforward, full-service Chinese restaurant tucked into Anaheim’s North Euclid neighborhood, serving up a specific style of Korean-Chinese cuisine that stands out in the local dining scene. This spot caters to diners looking for something authentic rather than a generic takeout experience. The intimate, no-frills dining room is clean and comfortable, with an atmosphere that feels more like stepping into a family-run place than a polished chain.

The kitchen is run by the owner, who is visibly hands-on and approachable, adding a personal touch to the service. Many locals appreciate that nearly everything is made fresh to order, including their house-made noodles, which is a rare find in this area. The noodle soups, like Champon and JJA Jjang Myun, come with bold, layered spice profiles that reflect the Korean-Chinese culinary fusion. These hearty, complex dishes are best experienced during cooler days when a satisfying bowl of spicy seafood soup or Mongolian beef hits the spot.

Jo Won’s menu is quite extensive, and fans of traditional dumplings will find the handmade fried and steamed varieties worth ordering, especially since portions are generous enough to share—or save for later. The accompanying side dishes, such as their tangy cabbage pickle, add a crisp contrast to the rich main plates. For those who enjoy a balance of heat and flavor, the Yangzhou fried rice and house special chow mein offer sturdier, well-executed staples that complement the noodle options.

The vibe here is casual and efficient, with a focus on quality over ambiance. It suits groups or individuals who prioritize authentic taste and don’t mind a bustling kitchen feel. While the décor is modest, the pride in their food shines clearly through each dish. Those who know Jo Won tend to come back for the consistency and the chance to ask the owner for occasional off-menu recommendations if they are feeling adventurous.

Visitors looking to explore a genuine Korean-Chinese dining experience in Anaheim will find this spot especially rewarding during weekday lunches or evenings when the restaurant isn’t as busy, allowing for attentive service and freshly prepared meals. It’s a great place to bring friends or family who appreciate bold flavors and a no-nonsense approach to classic noodle house cuisine.

Very FRIENDLY service.. Owner does all here.. You MUST try out fried dumpling here...and order extra to go as well...I regretted not ordering extra. Excellent taste...good size...and the best. Side dish of cabbage pickle was excellent as well.

Jo Won is one of the few remaining authentic Chinese restaurants in the area. They still cook everything to order and even make their own noodles from scratch. The food is fresh, served hot and tastes delicious. They have a clean & comfortable dining room with excellent service. The owner is usually there so you can ask for anything, even if not on the menu, and they will make it if they can. The interior decor is dated so it’s not very inspiring, which is fine by me, it helps to keep their prices reasonable and I usually prefer take-home anyways. Avoid the pre-cooked fast food chains and go to Jo Won’s for a much better experience!

Very tasty restaurant. The food is a very specific type of Chinese food. The food is Korean-Chinese, or, more specifically, food developed by Chinese immigrants to Korea. I loved the JjamBbong noodles and the yangjangpi. Both are spicy in different ways but both are delicious. The fried pot stickers are gigantic and most love them. They were a bit too heavy for us.

Authentic Chinese food! Finally, a real place in Orange County. I got the Mongolian Beef, pan-fried dumplings, and egg flower soup. So delicious and cooked with woks hot enough to get the true Chinese flavors to shine. I’ll definitely be back here again and again.

Great food with great service. The owner and chef are very proud of their food and they should. Korean style chinesr food is also pretty good. They would not try to cook it easy way and put effot on every dish they serve. Great Restaurant!
